Decadent Queens Mansion With Multiple Murals Asks $2.2M

New, 16 comments

Our semi-regular feature, Monday Mansion, examines the most interesting mega homes on the market in the far reaches of New York. Have a listing in mind that we're missing? Tell us about it. To the outer boroughs we go!

The up side of this Jamaica Estates house being "three years young," as its listing states, extends mostly to things of the non-aesthetic variety; its mechanicals are new, same with the roof (Who wants to put a new roof on a house? No one.) But 2012 was not a memorable year for design (Angelina Jolie's right leg withstanding), and this house exudes that. But if blue lighting, castle-themed murals, and overly-decorative plaster are selling points, this $2.148 million mansion will be off the market in no time.
