Morris Adjmi's Williamsburg Building Still Awaits Its Glass Shell

New, 2 comments

Since Morris Adjmi's anticipated Williamsburg building at 282 South 5th Street topped out in April, the building's been sheathed in black plastic and scaffolding. But it doesn't look like much is happening under that ugly mug. Brownstoner stopped by the site and says that the glass box that will float over the building's facade is not in the works just yet, but it appears that the building's windows are now in place. Perhaps crews are more concentrated on perfecting the 82-rental building's base, which will hold community space, a 166-car garage, and some retail. The building will also have a dog run, an outdoor movie screen, and a fire pit.

↑ The 13-story building is quite the towering presence over the JMZ train.
