Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.
Let's get this out of the way: The listing for this Bed-Stuy apartment at 769 DeKalb Avenue touts it as a "duplex," but really, it's a sleeping loft. But that's okay! The apartment itself is fairly spacious—it measures 817 square feet—and the loft has enough room for a queen-sized bed, which helps it not feel like a cramped studio. (It also helps that there's an actual stairway leading to the loft, not just a tiny ladder.) There's also a balcony and access to a shared roof deck, along with a washer-dryer unit, new kitchen appliances, and whirlpool tub. The only catch? Your only subway options are the G or the J/Z. But for $475,000 (plus only a $230 common charge), that's something we could probably live with.
