Citi Bike Expansion Bringing 62 New Stations to Brooklyn

New, 23 comments

For the past few months, Citi Bike has been in the midst of an expansion with plans to add 139 new stations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. (Sorry, Staten Island.) Now, you can see exactly where Citi Bike's new docking stations will land in Brooklyn, with the bright-blue bikes popping up soon in Red Hook, Gowanus, Park Slope, and beyond. According to Gothamist, there are a total of 62 docking stations coming to these south Brooklyn neighborhoods.

The proposal was given unanimous approval by Community Board 6's transportation committee, according to DNAInfo. The installation of racks will begin in 2016, and is expected to be completed by 2017.
