Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.
There are definite pros and cons to living in a space with a spiral staircase. On the pro side, they're beautiful and lend a bit of vintage charm to the apartments they're installed in; on the con side, woe betide the person who tries to go up or down stairs in the dark or while drunk. But whatever your feelings are on those structures, it's hard to deny the charm of the staircase in this Park Slope co-op, which is on the market for $495,000. The one-bedroom duplex is connected by the twisty stairs, with a living room and kitchen on the top level, and a bedroom and second common area on the bottom. (One problem: The bathroom is on a different floor than the bedroom, which could be a dealbreaker—and we totally get it.) There are outside entrances on either floor, along with a washer-dryer, a dishwasher, and customized closets.
