Nothing says "Brooklyn" these days quite like $1 million-plus condos, but 280 Saint Marks Avenue developer DNA really wanted to make sure they had their bases covered by incorporating "authentic Brooklyn elements" into the new 32-unit building, which just launched sales. "Prospect Heights has already experienced a great deal of change and we didn't want 280 St. Marks to be just another new development," DNA Development partner David Berger said in a press release, "We tried to bring thoughtful and useful amenities and livable touches inspired by old world Brooklyn such as mud rooms, large kitchen pantries and backyards." Although old world Brooklyn was less mud room and more Dutch farm, we'll let that one slide. The building also tries to stay true to the borough by sourcing materials from Kings County purveyors like Flavor Paper (who, it should be noted, has called Brooklyn home since time immemorial/2010.) Apartments in the zig-zaggy DXA Studio-designed building, which range in size from one to four-bedrooms and all have outdoor space, are currently available from $1.329 million.
