Comedian Michael Showalter Sells Brooklyn Home For $1.6M

New, 10 comments

Comedian Michael Showalter, one of the creative forces behind The State and Wet Hot American Summer (among many other things), is saying "I'm outta…here" to his Brooklyn home. He recently sold his four-story townhouse in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, raking in $1.6 million in the process. (He bought the house in 2010 for $800,000—talk about a good deal.) The home, which had been listed by Corcoran, has lots of charm: there's a large backyard (with a shed!), a "music room," three bedrooms, and tons of storage space, along with original wood paneling and a limestone facade. (There are also Edison lights through. Sigh.) In a 2013 Buzzfeed article, Showalter detailed his move from Brooklyn to Los Angeles with four of his eight (!) cats, so perhaps he's decided to go fully Left Coast for now. (h/t New York Post)
