It may not be getting as much attention these days as some other High Line projects like Zaha Hadid's curvy condo, but the Roman & Williams-designed building rising on West 24th Street between Tenth and Eleventh avenues will have its momentand soon. The boutique condo building known as The Fitzroy will hit the market this month, according to the Post, but before it does, its PR reps are making sure it accrues the proper amount of attention. At that, the first interior rendering from the 14-apartment building has appeared and oh is it tantalizing. Although it only depicts a bathroom, it is very clearly a Roman & Williams-designed bathroom. The same copper that makes an appearance on the building's facade is carried inside through a freestanding tub, mirrors, and fixtures. Bets are now on as to whether or not the green terra cotta of the facade will also make an appearance indoors.
When the JDS- and Largo Investments-developed condos come to market, they'll ask from $5.2 million to over $18 million. The two- to five-bedroom apartments will have 11-foot ceilings and chevron-patterned oak floors, and some will have fireplaces and private outdoor space with kitchens.
