The boxy penthouse atop starchitect Richard Meier's 165 Charles Street has been on the market for over a year now, and has experienced some price fluctuations in that time: first, it was listed for $35 million; then, the price went up to a somewhat preposterous $40 million; and now, the price has been knocked down to $35 million once more. It's also gotten a broker change, from Brown Harris Stevens to Douglas Elliman, and with that come a few new listings photos (though it's nothing we haven't seen before). The details of the apartment remain the same: It has more than 4,000 square feet of space; there are floor-to-ceiling windows throughout; there's a huge terrace; yada yada yada. Even with the slashed price, the apartment still requires an incredibly deep-pocketed buyer—one who doesn't mind paying, on top of everything else, a $10,199 monthly common charge.
