Construction is humming away on Roosevelt Island, where Cornell's Tech Campus is rising on the former site of the Goldwater Memorial Hospital. The project is still in the early construction phases, and Field Condition recently took a trip to the island to see where progress has been made. Some of the buildings that are currently in the works are the Bloomberg Center, an academic building that will bear the former mayor's name after he contributed a $100 million donation to the school; a residential tower designed by Handel Architects, which will conform to passive house rules; and a start-up incubator known as "The Bridge," designed by Weiss/Manfredi.
