Over-the-Top Upper East Side Manse Finally Sells For $29.9M

New, 19 comments

As we noted when this Upper East Side mansion hit the market in July, its owners, tenants' rights lawyer David Rozenholc and his wife, bought the pad in the '90s for an undisclosed sum, but one that we can infer was far less than the price they just sold it for: $29 million. The buyer is getting one heck of a townhouse: Located at 7 East 84th Street (between Fifth and Madison Avenues), the home—which its owners have been trying to sell since 2013—covers more than 13,000 square feet, with eight bedrooms, more than 11 bathrooms, and plenty of other ridiculous amenities. How ridiculous? Here are just a few things that stood out from the listing: "temperature controlled wine cellar," "8 wood-burning fireplaces," "staff quarters above the butlers pantry"—oh, and there's a garage, too.
