New Looks Inside Noho's Pricey Private Alley-Fronting Condos

New, 17 comments

New renderings are out for the 12-story condominium in Noho with a private alleyway, one of the few remaining in the city, revealing images of the entrance and an underground spa, the New York Times reports.
Developed by Madison Realty Capital, who have several residential projects in the works in Brooklyn, 1 Great Jones Alley, which is what the new development is called, will feature 14 apartments, which include three full-floor units and a penthouse duplex.

Prices start at $3.75 million for a two-bedroom which has 1,778 square feet of space. The full floor apartments feature four bedrooms, a 215 square foot balcony, and cost $9.3 million and upward. The penthouse duplex will go for $22.5 million and has 5,596 square feet of space in addition to a 1,009 square foot outdoor area. Sales are expected to launch in January next year.

Amenities in the building include an underground spa with stone-clad thermal baths and a steam area, not to mention a second-floor interior garden constructed around a glass jewel box staircase, as per the Times.

What's unique to the building is the fact that residents will have their own private 125-foot long entranceway in the form of Great Jones Alley. It sits between Lafeyette Street and Broadway and has an entrance on Great Jones Street. Despite it being a road in essence, the Alley is owned by developer and not by the city's Department of Transportation, as one might think. The building also feature over 6,000 square feet of retail that will be accessed along Broadway.

The project has been designed by BKSK Architects, and is expected to be complete in 2017.
