First Look Inside Brooklyn Bridge Park's Pierhouse Condo

New, 12 comments

Much has been said (often angrily) about the Pierhouse development in Brooklyn Bridge Park, currently under construction along the waterfront—and hotly contested for its bridge-blocking height. Until now, there haven't been very many views inside the development—which includes both 106 condos and a hotel—barring some interior renderings. But that's no longer the case: Toll Brothers and Starwood Capital Group, the building's developers, recently launched a model unit that represents a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom duplex, totaling more than 2,600 square feet. The unit, designed by Marvel Architects (which also worked on the exteriors), also features an 88-square-foot terrace, and shows off some of the building's eco-friendly touches such as composting units and solar shade systems. And of course, there are the stunning Manhattan views that you'd expect from that particular development. (And, in what's sure to anger the activists fighting against the building, some Brooklyn Bridge ones, too.)
