Soho Condo Nears Completion After Almost a Decade

New, 9 comments

Work on the nine-story, 16-unit luxury residential building at 27 Wooster Street in Soho is almost complete, seven years after the project was first proposed, Field Condition reports. Kohn Pedersen Fox are the architects on the project, and the interiors are courtesy of Thomas Juul-Hansen. The building's penthouse features five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a private terrace, and the new requisite amenity of a private pool; it went into contract for $28.5 million at the end of last year, according to StreetEasy.

The architects worked to maintain and reflect the architectural traditions of the neighborhood with full length French door style windows and metallic exteriors. Apart from the penthouse, the building also features three-bedroom condos and one five-bedroom condo, for which sales kicked off last year at $6.35 million. 27 Wooster is located on a previously empty corner plot at the intersection of Grand and Wooster streets, and neighbors the Leslie Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art on one side and the Drawing Center on the other.
