Tribeca Mansion Is Downtown's Most Expensive Rental

New, 12 comments

Situated between Church Street and West Broadway, the five-story mansion at 144 Duane Street is now the most expensive rental downtown, according to The Real Deal. Originally a department store, the structure, now a triplex penthouse with guest apartments, last sold for $43 million in 2013. It's back and asking $135,000 a month. It features 12- to 25-foot-tall ceilings, a basketball court, a roof deck, and spaces lit by the sky. "The property is perfect for a celebrity or someone who needs privacy," Douglas Elliman's Yoko Senada told TRD. "They're able to have their own space and for their staff to have a place to stay, as well."
