Vacant East Williamsburg Lot Will Give Way to 18 Apartments

New, 2 comments

A vacant lot in East Williamsburg will soon be home to two, four-story apartment buildings with 18 apartments spread out between the both of them, NY YIMBY reports.

Located at 30-42 Orient Avenue, right across from Cooper Park, the project will see the construction of two identical buildings side by side that will act as one with the buildings sharing a common facade.

The first of the two buildings, 30 Orient, will have 10 apartments, and the other, 42 Orient will have eight. The units will average about 700 square feet.

The project is being developed by Astral Weeks, who just two weeks ago announced a similar-style development in Flatbush. Astral has hired Andy McGee Design and Angelo Ng + Anthony Ng Architects Studio to do the design work on the project. Astral Weeks acquired the 6,600 square foot plot for just under $2 million in 2013.

Each of the apartments have private balconies in East Williamsburg, and amenities in the building include bike storage, and landscaped roof decks. Construction is expected to be complete by the end of next year.
