A new brick and glass rental building in Long Island City has a name: The Baker House. Court Square Blog took a few photos of 41-07 Crescent Street, now advertising its leasing although the leasing agent says rentals will be available in the beginning of 2016. The name stems from the building's location, the original site of Bakers Union Local 3. The Baker House, which is clamping on to the growing tradition of naming new developments after Long Island City's waning industrial character, was developed by Ranger Properties and has 48 studio to two-bedroom units.
As per Modern Spaces, who will handle leasings, "The past comes alive at this refined residence, but inside you'll find only the newest amenities. Designed by Fogarty Finger Architecture, The Baker House is the height of urban luxury. You will delight in Carrera marble in the bath, cutting edge Pedini cabinets and Bosch appliances in the kitchen, and white oak hardwood floors throughout." Residents will also have access to a shared roof deck, lounge, gym, and virtual doorman.
