Developers have released new renders for the ODA New York-designed 11-story condo building in Chelsea, known as The Flynn. The new images offer an inside look into the interiors of the apartments and the amenities in building, and reveal a consistent focus on the sleek grey stone known as Jet Mist, that is featured prominently on the facade.
NY YIMBY was the first to report on the reveal, which comes just a few days before property is officially launched on December 8.
The developers, IGI-USA, has yet again adopted a rather odd marketing campaign for the Flynn, similar to its "Steampunk" campaign on the development at 15 Renwick Street. And—surprise!—they worked with ODA on that project, too.
There's a focus on theatrics in the quirky marketing campaign for The Flynn. On December 2, they launched a two-week long holiday window-style display at the building, except that this features actual performers. Every evening at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m., a group of six actors and dancers will perform 10-minute long skits in the ground floor area, which will operate as the sales gallery and is currently set up to look like one of the Flynn's living rooms. The skit follows the life of an imaginary character, Flynn, named after the building, and his interactions with his neighbors and friends.
The building itself has a total of 30 residences, four of which are duplex penthouses with adjoining garden units. It also features a six-car garage, a gym, and storage facilities, not to mention 6,400 square feet of retail on the ground floor and 549 square feet of a community space.Apartments range from one- to four-bedrooms and have about 1,900 square feet of space, but the developer has yet to reveal pricing. Move-ins are expected to happen sometime next year.
