Stunning Puck Penthouse Appears As $85,000/Month Rental

New, 37 comments

As splendid as they are, the six penthouses atop Soho's iconic Puck Building have been fighting a long, hard battle to win buyers. Just one of the uber-expensive residences has sold since they first started courting the monied in January 2014, and now, it appears that the same residence is back on the market—as an $85,000/month rental. Although the listing feels like a defeat for the passion project of developer Jared Kushner, it's a triumph for the layperson, only because it brings first views into the 6,000-square foot abode.

The 4BR/5.5BA apartment shows its Puck heritage proudly through its unusual ceilings that vary in style and finish from flat to vaulted, wooden to tiled. But the apartment isn't without its modern amenities, like a sunken media room with Sonance surround sound. In addition to 6,000 interior square feet, the apartment comes with 2,000 square feet of terrace that includes seating and lounge areas, a custom fountain, hot tub, waterproof outdoor TV, and a dining area under a pergola.
