Sprawling Central Park West Apartment Wants $42 Million

New, 28 comments

Offering the type of floorplan only found in Central Park-bordering prewar co-op buildings, this 7,000-square-foot unit on the ninth floor of 101 Central Park West (the building where Harrison Ford once owned a duplex) just hit the market asking $42 million. The section of the apartment that borders the park ("the enfilade of Entertaining Rooms") includes a living room, dining room, and library, while the southern wing has four bedrooms and the northern wing houses the master bedroom, complete with dressing room and private terrace. There is, of course, a maid's room off the kitchen and too many windows to count. The current owners, who have managed to keep their identities hidden, bought the apartment in 2003 for $12.2 million and completed a renovation about eights years ago.
