A Key Food grocery store at 325 Lafayette Avenue in Clinton Hill will be replaced by a 114-unit building, if Slate Property Group's plans come to fruition. The development firm is partnering with the property's current owner, Dan's Supreme Supermarkets, to erect a new eight-story structure. Slate didn't want to drop a few million on the site and the owner didn't want to cash out, so they are working together. Twenty percent of the units will be affordable, and there will be a new supermarket on the ground floor. It will be designed by Aufgang Architects. [Crain's; DNAinfo]
