Before a 40-story tower can rise on the site of Brighton Beach's Trump Village Shopping Center, the area has to be remediated of its contaminants which include, but probably aren't limited to, cyanide, mercury, manganese, selenium, and pesticides. On top of that, the remediation is going to smell " like mothballs mixed with something that has been badly burned." Oh, lovely. [Brooklyn Daily]
