Cornerspotted: Furness Withy's Office at One State Street Plaza

There's a new history buff in the (figurative) building: for the second week in a row commenter Marc Kushner correctly identified the corner at hand. This week, all clues pointed to 34 Whitehall Street, better known these days as One State Street Plaza, where once stood the U.S. outpost of British shipping giant Furness Withy. According to Property Shark, One State Street Plaza was built in 1970, meaning it rose up about the same time Orient Overseas Container Line absorbed the British shipping company.
