The Historic Districts Council is adding their two cents to the Pierhouse height debate, and have come out in support of the Brooklyn Heights Association and Save The View Now. (Imagine if they backed developer Toll Brothers and the Brooklyn Bridge Corporation instead.) The preservation organizations continue to rally for a 100-foot-tall Pierhouse, instead of its existing 130 feet with mechanicals on top. It would still obscure the once-lovely Promenade and Brooklyn Bridge Park view, but who cares if a few wealthy people get to wake up to that vista every morning. Right?
