Let's All Just Hope This Craigslist Sublet Ad Is Not Real

New, 9 comments

It seems like there's a nonzero chance that this ad for an $800/month room in an "awesome luxury Williamsburg apartment" (spotted by Brokelyn) is merely an attempt to parody the current crop of Brooklyn transplants, and let's all just hope that that is indeed the case, because if not, oh man. "I'm looking for a new roommate: someone who is clean, a non smoker, wealthy, from a good family, someone who has the right career trajectory and is clearly on the path for greater things. We all have a destiny. Are you a part of ours?" the ad's creator writes. It gets worse.

If you think you have what it takes, look in the mirror and ask yourself the following questions:
- Am I weak?
- On a scale from 1 to 10 how good do I look?
- Do I always get what I want?

Please respond by telling me who you are and why you want to be here. To be fair, "Am I weak?" is a good thing to ask yourself before embarking on any New York City real estate-related venture. But especially this one.

UPDATE: A Miron Properties broker reached out to let us know that this is indeed a fake listing, as the pictures were stolen from his real listing. So, phew?
