The renovation firm behind J. The Federalist-style home at 162 Bergen Street was completely gutted and redone with modern updates like an elevator and radiant heat flooring. The home, which went on the market in September for a costly $4.95 million, has five bedrooms, restored plaster work and marble mantles, original oak plank flooring, a double-height sitting area in the master bedroom, and a garden apartment with exposed beams. Not too shabby.
Dr. Susan Hagedornnurse practitioner, published academic, and daughter of the creator of Miracle-Gropicked up the home in 2008 for $2.4 million.
