A Gristedes supermarket on East 86th Street is already on the market for around $100 million as a potential development site, and now the property next door, a six-story walkup rental building, is being marketed as well, for $17 million, meaning that the eventual development could end up being even bigger. The Gristedes lot can accommodate 153,000 square feet; the other building is using around half of its 25,500 square feet of development rights. The building and air rights could also be sold separately. [Crain's; previously]
