Plans for Coney Island's ambitious Childs building-replacing ampitheater-eatery-park remain halted as the lawsuit to determine the contested property's ownership stays in limbo. The lawsuit centers around community gardeners' assertion that the property is public parkland and as such the development would require the approval of state legislature. The case's second judge remains undecided over the issue, and may move to a jury trial. Image via Curbed Flickr Pool/Elisa SCA. [AtZ; previously]
