Rockefeller University has filed permits for its long-awaited expansion, which would sit on a four-blog-long canopy over the FDR Drive in the East 60s. Starchitect Rafael Vinoly will design the school's new 260,000-square-foot building containing labs, offices, conference rooms, a research pavilion, amphitheater, and cafeteria over three stories.
