12 Warren Street Is Supposed to Look Like A Stack of Rocks

New, 15 comments

DDG's protuberance-bearing project at 12 Warren Street isn't just a random stack of boxes. Tribeca Citizen spotted complete renderings for the project on DDG's website, which show that the facade will be clad mostly with bluestone, and those protuberances are meant to evoke the natural uneven stacking of bluestone—in other words, the building is supposed to to look like a pile of rocks. The top portion of the 12-story building is new construction, while the bottom is a conversion of a former factory. There will be triplex, duplex, and full-floor homes, and many will have private outdoor space.
