Brooklyn's 'Berserk-Eclectic' House Will Be Replaced by This

New, 4 comments

One of Brooklyn's more unique houses, a "Cubist avalanche" built in 1902 in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, was recently razed by developer Seth Brown of Aspen Equities to make way for two rental buildings with a total of 50 units. A partial rendering that Brown sent to Brownstoner reveals the design of the new buildings to consist of brick, large windows, and what appears to a terrace with every unit. An entrancing architectural enigma it is not. Brown is also changing the changing the address to 520 Parkside Avenue from 111 Clarkson Avenue. Construction is set to begin next month.
