A new bakery from Dominique Ansel—the cronut kingpin who runs the downtown pastry game with the iron fist of a ruthless druglord—is ruffling the feathers of West Village residents. According to Gothamist, residents of 161 and 163 West 10th Street who are scared that the forthcoming Dominique Ansel Kitchen (located across the street 137 Seventh Avenue) will bring the Soho location's signature crowds, in addition to the noise that comes with a 28-person outdoor seating area. However, co-owner Amy Ma claims that the new location will not serve the famed cronut, meaning insane lunatics probably won't be waiting on line at 6 in the morning. [Gothamist]
