Renovated 1920s Riverdale Home Wants $3.65M in Resale

New, 2 comments

Our semi-regular feature, Monday Mansion, examines the most interesting mega homes on the market in the far reaches of New York. Have a listing in mind that we're missing? Tell us about it. To the outer boroughs we go!

In the Riverdale section of the Bronx, this decidedly un-micro home was last purchased in 2004 for $1.9 million. Now, after a renovation and expansion it's back on the market for $3.65 million. The redesign left it with, among other things, a fireplace refitted with wood-burning stove, a large, open kitchen, a library with custom-built oak shelves, and a screened-in sunroom. Relatively little of the original 1920s character remains, although that's not necessarily for the worse.
