Five-Story Building To Rise Beside the Queensboro Bridge

New, 7 comments

Permits were filed for a 5-story building by C3D Architects could rise at 308 West 59th Street, and it will not be some wild, cantilevering glass structure. Instead, it will be the very plain building rendered above, and it will become best friends with the Queensboro Bridge. Permits show plans for a 5-story, 55-foot-tall building with 12 apartments, but the architect told New York YIMBY that Boemi is hoping the DOB will waive the sliver rule, which would allow the building to grow to 10-stories. The site is currently occupied by a two-story loft building that will be demolished.
