Work Underway at 101 West Street; Pierhouse Protest

New, 1 comment

GREENPOINT—A tipster points out that there is some construction equipment doing some construction equipment-y stuff over at 101 West Street, a development site acquired by The Davis Companies and Cayuga Capital Management for $5.2 million in 2012. At the time, it was announced that they were planning a residential building with "approximately 50 apartments ranging in size from studios to three-bedrooms." [CurbedWire Inbox]

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS—Build Up NYC staged a protest today outside the Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation offices, calling for the Department of Buildings to halt all work at the Pierhouse. (A stop work order for part of the development was issued last week.) The group attempted to symbolically block the Corporation's view by holding up a big stop sign. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]
