Renovated Park Regis Penthouse Sells for a Discounted $8.25M

New, 6 comments

The penthouse once owned by Broadway oldtimer Tommy Tune just sold for a steeply discounted price, according to the Post. Tune sold the place in 2006 to Julia Kim and Stephen Rushmore for $6 million, who embarked on a serious renovation—so serious that Kim quit her job to oversee it—that was feature in the Times, a coffee table book, and Nieman Marcus. Needless to say, they were pretty proud of their work, and thought they'd be able to resell the place for $14 million. Things didn't go quite as they planned. The unit was pricechopped seven times after it originally listed in May 2013, hitting a final listing price of $8.9 million. But the buyer talked them down even more, as the Post reports the final price was $8.25 million. The duplex penthouse has an amazing wraparound terrace, a wood-burning fireplace, and three bedrooms.
