Jessica Chastain Buys Leonard Bernstein's Former Co-op

New, 21 comments

Actress Jessica Chastain just dropped $5.1 million on a four-bedroom unit in West 57th Street co-op building The Osborne, the Post reports. The apartment used to belong to legendary composer Leonard Bernstein, who lived there until 1974, and it probably looks somewhat similar now to how it did then, having retained a number of original details including stained-glass parlor windows, hand-carved mahogany doors, and five fireplaces. The apartment was put on the market almost a year ago with an ask of $5.5 million, ultimately suffering only a seven percent price reduction. Chastain also gets to be neighbors with Phil Jackson now.
