Curvy Condo Tower Begins To Rise on East 57th Street

New, 2 comments

World Wide Group and Rose Associates' luxury tower at 252 East 57th Street is on the rise after over seven years of starts, stops, and redesigns. A YIMBY tipster recently visited the site to discover that the long-awaited project has finally grown out of its hole in the ground and is going vertical. The Skidmore Owings +Merrill-designed undulating glass tower will stand 65 stories at its zenith—tall, but not skyline-domineering like its more western neighbors—and hold 93 condos and 175 rentals. Sales launched in the building in September; StreetEasy shows that 12 condos are currently on the market, priced between $4.195 million and $13.15 million. The tower is expected to be complete by the end of 2016.

Here's what the tower will look like when it's complete. ↓
