New, 3 comments

WILLIAMSBURG—Williamsburg's much-anticipated Pod Hotel will not be built in Brooklyn, or even the city. The modular hotel, which will bring 254 rooms to the buzzing area, will be fabricated in Poland, as per Real Estate Weekly. The hotel, designed by Garrison Architecture, will be shipped over in pieces and installed in July or August. [REW; previously]

NEW YORK CITY—A new study commissioned by the National Multifamily Housing Council and the National Apartment Association has discovered that renters are most responsible for stimulating the post-recession economy in the housing landscape. That's a lot of money, and that figure definitely has nothing to do with rents skyrocketing beyond anyone's control. [official; previously]
