Hint: Although This Street Changes, Its View Does Not

New, 4 comments

Welcome back to Cornerspotter, Curbed's game in which you try to identify the location of a particular building or streetscape in a historic photograph from the Museum of the City of New York. Impress us and your fellow Curbed readers with your uncanny insight into New York City and its past!

The New York City elite formerly rubbed elbows in one of the pictured buildings, and still do the same in a different building the organization moved to a few short years after this picture was taken. Although many changes have happened on this block, at least one building remains the same. Where was the picture taken? Bonus points if you can name the organization that once called this street home.
