Park Slope Mansion Sells for a Seriously Discounted $9.5M

New, 2 comments

Just days after the $14 million home at 17 Prospect Park West went into contract, there's another big sale in Park Slope. The mansion at 105 Eighth Avenue, a former Montessori School, has sold for $9.5 million, according to Brownstoner. The figure doesn't come close to breaking the record for the borough's most expensive home ever, but this grand beauty was once the priciest listing in Brooklyn, asking a whopping $25 million. The property first listed in 2012, then saw a series of price chops, which brought its final asking price down to $13 million. While the initial price garnered a superlative, the final sale price breaks no records. The most expensive home to sell in Park Slope is the $10.8 million 45 Montgomery Place, which closed in December, while the borough title belongs to 70 Willow Street.
