Two uptown parking lots are doomed, their sites destined to become apartments. Furthering the trend displacing anything car-related with anything housing-related, Simon Baron Development and Quadrum Global bought a garage on West 87th Street and are planning an 18-story, 100,000-square-foot residential building. On the other side of the park, Wonder Works construction will tear down a garage on East 96th Street and put up 21 floors with 48 condos in its place. Out, out, damn cars! [CO and TRD; previously]
