According to the Post, the demand for "affordable luxury" apartments, or apartments whose price per square foot starts around $1,400 and caps at $2,500, is on the rise. Why, exactly, that may be goes unsaid, but a little intuitive investigation concludes that it's probably because housing prices in NYC these days are so out of control, even when they're deemed "affordable."
