The Port Authority Board of Commissioners met yesterday and heard a proposal to overhaul the much-loathed Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown. Here's how it went down.
Transit officials: "Look, everyone hates the bus terminal. We all know that it really, truly is 'the worst place on the planet.' We have a plan to totally replace it, and make it really, really nice. A world-class facility, if you will."
P.A. Commissioners: "What a delight to hear! How do we make this happen?"
Transit officials: "Just give us $9 billion, and we're good to go. We'll be done in 15 years."
P.A. Commissioners: "Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha! No."
