After a 4-foot by 4-foot piece of plexiglass fell from the 22nd floor of One57 on Tuesday, work at the supertall tower has resumed. Miraculously, no one was hurt in the incident, but two parked cars were damaged. The Department of Buildings inspected 90 temporary windows at the tower after the accident and found everything to be in order. This was the third time in a year that glass fell from the Extell-developed building, which has also had two crane incidents. [WSJ; previously; photo via Photo Pool/Joel Raskin]
