According to The Real Deal, a new 15-story hotel is set to rise in Midtown, just a few blocks from the Empire State Building. The building—planned for 876 Sixth Avenue—will be 17,700 square feet and feature 37 rooms, plus retail on the first and second floors. The developer is Koreatown-based Raizada Vaid of Pinky Realty, who filed permits with the city last week. Vaid reportedly bought the property in 2010 for $2.2 million. [TRD]
