In a huge blow to the Lower East Side community, the Andy Warhol Museum has announced that it's canning its plans for an Essex Crossing outpost. The museum has decided against the expansion after an "internal study of business and other operational considerations." Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the developer told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that they are "hard at work looking for another exciting use for this great space." Whatta bummer. [BB; previously]
