Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.
For a 700-square-foot apartment, the number of individually charming elements that this newly listed co-op in 341 West 87th Street has is staggering: there's the exposed brick, wood paneling, original molding, functional wood-burning fireplace, coffered ceilings, and, perhaps most notably, a lofted "mezzanine" accessible via a small wooden staircase. In addition, there are two small bedrooms, one of which is decked out with huge greenhouse windows (presumably in part to make up for the complete lack of windows in the main living area. And while it's not without problems—the fact that the kitchen (not pictured) is located under the mezzanine raises some serious logistical concerns—this is still a very cool apartment, especially considering that it's priced under $1 million, at $949,000.
