Yankees' Carlos Beltran Scores $9M Upper East Side Penthouse

New, 3 comments

In his career, New York Yankees outfielder Carlos Beltran has hopped around from team to team, playing for a grand total of six—from the Cardinals to Subway Series rival the Mets. Mirroring some of those moves, over the years he's done the same with real estate, getting rid of his Long Island home and a Miami palazzo for several million apiece. But now the slugger has finally slid into home base—a $9.3 million one, at that—in the form of a duplex penthouse on the Upper East Side. The Daily News first reported the sale of a five-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom with a private rooftop and 360-degree views from the East River to Central Park. The apartment originally hit the market back in 2013 asking $11.5 million, so Beltran got a deal by comparison.
