Just hours after the New York Times reported the glorious unveiling of a 1950s Max Spivak mosaic mural at 5 Bryant Park that had been covered over by metal panels for decades, the mural has been obscured from sight once more. Times reporter David Dunlap (h/t Untapped Cities) reports that the building's owner, Equity Office, has erected a screen in front of the mural ahead of installing a more permanent cover. Although it's sad news, at least they're not ripping it outyet.
